i haven't blogged in a week! that is WAY TOO LONG :(

i've been hanging out with family and friends now that i'm back home for about a month i gotta get my fill of them lol

feels so good to be home!

here are a couple of new items i've bought...

this ring is pretty fantastic, vintage, and was only $4.00!!!

this is my favorite! look at the pretty shape & stone!!

and i LOVEEE how thick and chunky this necklace is...i'm going to a sushi restaurant tonight and i'm definitely gonna wear it :)

what do you think of this vest? it's made in Ecuador and i fell in love with all the designs on it...i think it's beautiful!! and it's hand-made of course...let me know what you think...

one of the last stops i made before i left gainesville was going to this random garage sale...i LOVE garage/yard/estate sales and this one wasn't overflowing with riches but i still managed to get away with a couple of items...

as you all know i have a thing for elephants and owls...so this belt (i'm going to wear it as a NECKLACE) was perfect for me! i changed the look a little by removing an elephant so now its 3 elephants and it sits nicely on my neck :) i'll post pictures as soon as i wear it!!
this picture is super fuzzy...my apologies...but it's two little gator pins (one silver, one gold) i love these!!! the university of florida (where i go) is home of the GATORS! so this i had to have...school spirit can be fun :) haha

i wore this the other night to a friends dinner party...too bad i wore a purple maxi dress yesterday (july 4th) instead of this ultra spirited red-white-blue outfit HAHAHA

i guess i'm just not appropriate ;)

i'm not sure how much i currently like these wrap-up sandals but i wore them anyways...they're not as sexy as they once were...

i wore my red vintage blazer!! yayyy & i paired it with a blue and white striped tank top and subtle black shorts

it was a nice dinner party. (last week)

yesterday: 4th of july
i: drove 5 hours (to go home), chilled with my parents (finally...i miss them), and went to my best friends house for a family dinner (i'm adopted into their family haha)

all in all it was a great day.
no traffic. big home welcome. fabulous indian/thai food. good punch&mojitos. juicy gossip.

i am very pleased to say that yesterday-was-PERFECT!

...well EXCEPT for the fact that it was the first day of my cleanse diet and i broke down around 4 pm with hunger/starvation and broke the diet :( i've turned a new leaf and i'm all about being healthy and fit...so now i have to work REALLY REALLLY hard to achieve my goals. i am watching what i eat but i am NOT depriving myself because that obviously doesn't go well...my summer goals are to achieve: a healthier body and an EVEN tan...i'll keep you updated on my progress :)

back to yesterday...I HAD THE MOST AMAZING SHOPPING EXPERIENCE OF MY LIFE.

from 11:30 am - 3:00 pm i was in a VERY HAPPY PLACE.

i hit up about 4 vintage stores downtown and WOWW...great things, great things! Here are my newly purchased beloved items…

they look like real flowers dont they??? so gorgeous! (these are actually clip-ons, which i never wear because they pinch my ears...but i found these comfortable)

this was another great vintage find! i found it at the Humane Society and COULD NOT RESIST. i'm planning on attaching a long gold necklace to it and wearing this piece as a HUGE pendant!

the best thing about shopping at the Humane Society is that 100% of the proceeds go towards the care of the animals :) how WONDERFUL is that?!?

if there is a Humane Society near you make sure to check out their THRIFT store & buy EVERYTHING that catches your eye because it's going TOWARDS a GREAT cause :)

i found these white & gold rimmed "HORSE-SHOE" inspired earrings at a vintage store in downtown Gainesville...i bought them for LUCK!

yesterday was my first time at a little recycled shop in NE Gainesville and i couldn't help but lust after these earrings...how 80's are they?? i LOVE them!

i couldn't keep my eyes off of these beauties!!!

look at the shape and texture of these earrings! TO DIE FOR! i can't wait to wear them :)

i saved this purse for last because it just might be my FAVORITE POSSESSION at the moment...

and guess what...it's VINTAGE!!!

it's OFF-WHITE/NUDE/SKIN TONE color makes it so easy to match! it's long gold chain totally reminded me of CHANEL...what girl doesn't love Chanel??

this little purse is IDEAL for the summer! so comfortable and easy to carry around!

today i went to a bunch of consignment & thrift stores. boy. what i found! i've never been so excited! here are a couples of items i got my hands on...

canary yellow VINTAGE BLAZER

great color! not too bright, not too dull.

best yet...it was a STEAL!!!! $1.99!!!! ahhhh, now you know why i'm so HAPPY!

this silver necklace is so THICK & HEAVY! it was love at first sight.
ANOTHER STEAL!!!! $5.00!!!!

this GREEN & AQUA beaded necklace really cheered up my outfit! i was wearing mostly black and this d-a-s-h of color was lovely!

i feel like a giant in these!! i am 5'8.5 and with these on i feel sooo tall! lol

the black combination with white & grey SNAKE SKIN is MARVELOUS

i tried blue nail polish...i'm not sure how i like it...i'm still deciding...

i can't get enough of these TAN ROPE WEDGES!! they are soo comfy and match perfectly with my new clutch :) these are made in Brazil (my mother is Brazilian) and this only makes these wedges that much more special...if i could wear them to bed...well, i would! hahaha

one of my most recent VINTAGE purchases is this incredible SNAKE SKIN CLUTCH!! I have been wearing it with all my outfits for the past 3 days!!! lol! i found it at this great little store in downtown Gainesville and I had to buy it! what a treasure!!

i cant get enough of HEADBANDS this summer! they are so practical and brighten up any look!...i got a pack of them at the dollar store and they are fabulous!! they come in bright summery colors and match with everything & anything! we can all look fabulous...even on a budget :)

Hey everyone! I recently went consignment shopping in Gainesville and got some great new items...I am completely OBSESSED with Cameo's and was able to get my hands on a pair of Cameo earrings!! They are TO DIE FOR!! and I also purchased a pair of sailor inspired earrings...very "day on the boat" earrings. I can't wait to wear these pieces! Let me know what you think :)
